Annual Maintenance - The best investment to protect your investment

Central heating and air conditioning units are tough pieces of equipment. They are engineered to withstand extreme heat and cold and all sorts of abuse and keep on running, day in and day out. But this built in reliablity can lead to a false sense of security and complacency about maintenance. Like a car, air conditioners need regular tune-ups to run properly. And nothing is more important that an annual maintenance plan.

For example, without regular maintenance an air conditioner loses about five percent of its original efficiency each year it is operated. This means the 12 SEER unit that you bought just a few years ago may be functioning like a 9 SEER unit today!

The good news is you can recover most of that lost efficiency through regularly scheduled annual maintenance. Studies show that with regular tune-ups a unit will maintain up to 95 percent of its original efficiency. This means the cost of an annual tune-up is recovered very quickly in savings on your monthly electric or gas bill and reduced repair costs. A properly serviced heating and/or air conditioning unit will also do a better job of dehumidifying your home.
